The selection process includes a written examination followed by document verification and medical examination. The written exam will have objective-type questions. Questions will be asked from General Knowledge, Himachal Pradesh General Knowledge, English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Reasoning. The exam will be conducted in either CBT or OMR mode.

Selected candidates will be appointed as Patwari Job Trainees. During the training period, they will receive a fixed stipend of Rs 12,500 per month. After successful completion of training, candidates will be placed as regular Patwaris as per rules.
