DPSRU organises 1st Research Promotion Award

NEW DELHI: Prof. Sharad Wakode, Dr Sushama Talegaonkar and Prof. Deepti Pandita were conferred the Distinguished Research Awards, instituted by the Delhi

Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University

. The other award categories conferred were Notable Research Award, Distinguished Research Award, Outstanding Research Award, and Research Innovation Award.

The awards recognized and honored distinguished researchers for having impactful contributions in their research area. The selections for the awards were based on an in-depth analysis of the published high-impact factor of the research/ review publications in 2021.


The faculty in the world’s top 2% most cited Stanford University list from DPSRU; Prof Ramesh K Goyal, Prof Deepti Pandita, Dr Prabodh C Sharma and Dr Sushama Talegaonkar were also honored.

The Jury members Prof Ruchika Malhotra, Dr Sushama Talegaonkar and Dr C.R.Patil were acknowledged for all their time and contribution. Dr.

Suraj Pal Verma

was felicitated for his untiring efforts for the compilation of Abstract Book.

The chief guest, Prof. Arun K Agarwal, former Dean, MAMC and Guest of Honour Mr Naresh Kumar, DIG, BSF graced the occasion with their enlightening words.

Prof Arun Agarwal, emphasized on maintaining a balance between IP protection and public disclosure of science research. Sh. Naresh Kumar congratulated all the awardees and praised the step to organize the Research Promotion award Function. While addressing the event, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ramesh K Goyal delivered a lecture on different aspects of research and through a Sanskrit shloka he explained the best practices and research methodologies that should be used by the researchers.
