CLAT 2026 counselling: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will close the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 counselling registration process today, December 27, 2025, at 10:00 PM.

CLAT 2025 candidates who have qualified the exam and received an official counselling invite must complete their Round 1 registration before the deadline to be considered for seat allotment.

The registration is completely online and can be done on the official website, consortiumofnlus. ac. in. Only candidates who register within the stipulated time will be eligible for the first round of seat allotment. Those who miss the deadline will not have the chance to be considered in Round 1.

Candidates who get a seat must deposit the required fee and thereby confirm their admission within the specified period, which is usually about a week. Failure to pay the fee will result in cancellation of the allotted seat, which will then be offered to another candidate in the next round.

Candidates who fail to secure a seat in Round 1 will have the chance to be allotted one in the subsequent rounds of counselling scheduled for January, February, and May. In later rounds, candidates may be allowed to modify their NLU preferences.
