CGBSE Chhattisgarh Board Class 10 toppers 2026: Three students secure Rank 1; check complete list here
CGBSE Chhattisgarh Board Class 10 result 2026: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has released the Class 10 merit list along with the High School Certificate Examination 2026 results. The toppers list shows a tie at the top, with three students securing Rank 1 with identical scores.
The merit list also sees multiple shared positions across ranks, especially at Rank 2 and Rank 5, indicating close competition among students this year.
As per the official merit list, here are the toppers up to Rank 5:
The top rank is shared by three students, each scoring 594 out of 600, or 99 percent. Rank 2 has an even larger cluster, with five students scoring 593 marks. This pattern continues across the merit list, showing how narrowly separated the top scores are.
Mahasamund district has a strong presence in the top ranks, with multiple students featuring in Rank 1 and Rank 2. Raipur and Mungeli also appear repeatedly in the top positions.
Alongside the toppers list, CGBSE reported an overall pass percentage of 77.15%. Girls recorded a higher pass percentage of 81.03%, while boys stood at 72.27%.
Out of over 3.16 lakh students who appeared for the exam, more than 2.43 lakh candidates passed, with a significant number securing first division.
The clustering of ranks suggests that the difference between top-performing students is minimal. A difference of just one or two marks has pushed students across ranks, especially between Rank 1 and Rank 3.
For students, this mirrors a highly competitive evaluation cycle where small score variations determine final positions. For schools and districts, it highlights where academic performance is consistently strong.
