The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has filed police complaints against two schools in Delhi for allegedly submitting fake or forged land certificates to seek affiliation. The schools in question are Manava Bhawna Public School, located on Nathupura Main Road, Burari, and Sat Saheb Public School, situated at C-Block, Som Bazar, Nanhey Park, Uttam Nagar.
In a press statement, CBSE clarified that it follows a stringent process for granting affiliations to schools. The affiliation process requires schools to submit mandatory documents, including land certificates, which are then closely scrutinized. To ensure authenticity, the Board conducts verification of these documents with the issuing authorities.
During the verification process, CBSE found that the land certificates submitted by the two schools were fake and had not been issued by the concerned authorities. Subsequently, the Board lodged police complaints against both schools at Preet Vihar Police Station, seeking legal action under the law.
CBSE emphasized its commitment to maintaining high standards in the affiliation process and ensuring that only schools meeting all necessary requirements are granted affiliation. The Board had also previously issued show cause notices to more than 30 schools for failing to comply with its provisions and rules.
