CBSE CTET city intimation slip 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the city intimation slip 2026 for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). It offers candidates an early indication of the city where their examination centre will be located. The slip has been made available on the official website, ctet.nic.in, ahead of the admit card release.
The city intimation slip is issued to help candidates plan travel and accommodation in advance. It does not serve as the hall ticket but provides critical logistical information before the examination day.
The CTET city slip will indicate the city of the exam that would have been allotted by the board. CBSE explained that though the board tries to allot centres in one of the cities chosen by candidates during the time of registration, the final decision rests with the board.
Once a centre is allotted, it will not be changed under any circumstances, either due to personal or logistical reasons.
CBSE has also stated that if the number of candidates in a particular city is too low, the examination may not be conducted there. In such cases, candidates may be assigned a centre in their second, third, or fourth preference city, or even in a completely different city.
The CTET February 2026 examination will be held on February 8, 2026, in two shifts.
Candidates must report to their examination centres well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card, which will be released separately.
CBSE is expected to release the CTET 2026 admit card shortly. The hall ticket will contain full details, including the exact exam centre address, reporting time, roll number, and exam-day instructions.
Candidates must note that entry to the examination centre will not be permitted without a valid admit card and original photo identification.
