NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted Class 12th history exam today (i.e., March 20, 2018) from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

The majority of the Class 12th students coming out of the examination centre said that the paper was easy and nothing was out of the syllabus. The question asked on map was also very easy and from the

NCERT

only.

When asked how much they can score, some of the students said that the paper was easy and they are expecting 65+ marks out of 80.

paper is considered as one of the toughest subjects as students often find the exam duration of three hours for this lengthy paper extremely inadequate. The students are supposed to write lengthy answers for each questions.

Mahima Deval

said, "Barring one or two questions, the paper was easy but time consuming, though I managed to finish the paper on time."

Another student,

Sandhya Shukla

, "The paper was a bit tricky but the best part of the paper was that the map came straight from chapter 9 'Kings And Chronicles The Mughal Courts'."

Christ International School, Shillong
Astha Dwivedi said, "The paper was easy and wasn't that lengthy. We could easily complete paper on time but map based question was asked again on Buddhist sites."

St. Joseph's Convent, Bhopal
Mirdula Nair of said, "The paper was quite easy and the best part is sample paper of last three years did wonders for me and my friends. It was cake walk to solve all the questions we had least expected to be so easy."

Nakshtrika Dhude said, "The Map section of questions paper in part D was totally different from last 10 year's pattern. Since past 10 years there was no change in the question pattern but this year it was suddenly twisted which made it a bit difficult. Otherwise paper was very easy."

Another student, Poornima Sunmoria said, "The paper was quite easy for me, it was scoring and questions were pretty straight forward and direct even for average and below average students"

Ritu Chaudhary said, "The paper was quite easy. Most of the questions were direct. It was short and I could complete it before time."

"I found the paper to be a mixture of easy and tough questions but could complete it in time," said Gaurav Singh.

"The paper was good and not difficult as I had expected. Some of the 4 mark questions were tricky but overall it was easy," said Bhumi.

Rhea Joshi sadi, "I found the paper a blend of easy and tricky questions. It was a little lengthy but fingers crossed for the best!"

TEACHERS' REACTION
Suchi Bajaj of Springdales-Pusa Road said the paper was balanced and easy to score. The children came out of he exam satisfied.

"A balanced paper with average difficulty level based on NCERT. The questions for 4 marks were conceptual with a little twisted language. The paper required a thorough knowledge of NCERT," said Payal Saxena, PGT- History of Evergreen Sr Sec School, Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi.

Vibha Rathore History teacher St Joseph school Idgah hills said, "Paper was good and exceptionally easy. Last year there were few questions that many students couldn't solve but this year students could write it without any pressure and it was all about writing answers in a well-managed time because history papers are usually a bit lengthy.

Shubha Chakraborty History teacher Sagar Public school Bhopal said, "The question paper was really easy this year and my students also gave the same feedback to me. The question containing 4 marks were a bit tricky but that didn't affect students at all. They solved it because they knew it was twisted. Long answer type questions were straight forward without any doubt."

Delhi Public School's Sakeena Naidu said, "The paper was balanced but some students have found statement based questions complex. But it depends upon calibre of the students and the level of their understanding, how they comprehend the statement and write precisely the answer."


The CBSE Class 12 board exams 2018 started on March 5 and the first paper which was conducted was that of English (English Elective/English Elective-C/ English Core). This year, a total of 28,24,734 students from classes 10 and 12 are appearing for the board examinations. A total number of 16,38,428 students have registered for class 10 exams and for class 12, total 11,86,306 students are appearing for the exams. The exam is being conducted at 4,453 centres across India and 78 centres outside India. Similarly, for class 12, the exam is being held at 4,138 centres in India and 71 centres abroad.
