CBSE board exams 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued an important notice for schools regarding the reporting of question paper related issues during the CBSE board examinations 2026. The notice applies to both Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations, according to the notice.

CBSE board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 have begun today, February 17, 2026. According to the notice, every year, schools are asked to send their observations or issues related to the question papers to the board through the Online Examination Centre Management System (OECMS). However, the board has observed several problems in the way these observations are being reported or sent.

Common mistakes noticed by CBSE

The board has pointed out that many schools are sending observations to random email IDs, which are not meant for this purpose. In many cases, observations are also being sent after many days, which delays necessary action. The board has further said that some observations are vague in nature and do not clearly explain the issue. For example, complaints stating that a question is “not correct” without proper clarification make it difficult for the board to examine the matter.

Correct way to report question paper issues

To ensure a smooth examination process, the CBSE has clearly instructed schools to follow the correct procedure. All observations related to question papers must be uploaded only on OECMS. If any clarification is required, detailed information may be sent to the official email ID mailid.observations@cbse.ksha.in.

Schools have also been reminded that observations should be sent on the same day the examination is conducted.

Warning for delayed or incorrect submissions

The board has warned that in cases where observations are not clear, not received on time, incomplete, or sent through incorrect channels, no action will be taken. Such issues will not be considered by the CBSE.

The board has requested all schools to cooperate and send observations on time so that appropriate action can be taken whenever required. Schools are advised to strictly follow these instructions during the CBSE board exams 2026 to avoid any confusion or delay in addressing genuine concerns.
