CAT 2025 admit card releasing this week: Check when, where, and how to download hall ticket

The Common Admission Test or CAT 2025 admit card will be released on November 5 on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. Candidates who have registered for the exam will need to log in with their user ID and password to download the hall ticket. The admit card must be carried to the exam centre on the day of the test. CAT scores are used for admission to the IIMs and many other management institutes in India, so a large number of students apply every year.

Where and how to download CAT 2025 admit card

Candidates must log in to the dedicated portal of the CAT exam:

• Visit the official website iimcat.ac.in.
• On the home page, look for the “Registered Candidate Login” or “Admit Card” link.
• Use your User ID/Registration Number and password (or date of birth, as per login credentials) to access your dashboard.
• Once you enter, find the “Download Admit Card” tab, click to view the PDF and save it.

It is advised to download early—loading may slow down closer to exam date due to high traffic.

What to check on the admit card

Once downloaded, carefully verify the details printed on your admit card. Commonly included fields are:

• Candidate’s full name, exactly as registered.
• Registration number / Roll number.
• Date of birth and category (if applicable – e.g., SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
• Exam date, slot (morning/afternoon/evening) and test centre address.
• Candidate’s photo and signature (if applicable; check clarity).
• Important exam day instructions (reporting time, items allowed/prohibited).

Documents and items to carry on CAT exam day

On the day of your exam (30 November 2025), you must carry the following:

• The printed admit card of CAT 2025.
• A valid original photo-ID proof (such as Aadhaar card, PAN, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence).
• Recent passport-sized photograph(s) (as required).
• If applicable: PwD certificate, scribe affidavit, or other special-accommodation documentation.
• Transparent water bottle, and perhaps a small pouch for permitted items only.
• Do not carry items like mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, bags, books, or any other prohibited electronic devices.

Arrive at your test centre well ahead of time to avoid last-minute rush or traffic delays, as lateness may result in denial of entry.
