The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going places. In sync with its stature, the CBSE in partnership with Dubai Education District and the Indian High School, Dubai, a CBSE-affiliated school have joined hands to organise a career fair titled ''Careers Unlimited: An Exposition''. The fair is going to be organised from December 7 to 9 in Dubai.
Giving detailed information about the fair, the Public Relations Officer of CBSE Rama Sharma said: "The three-day fair is an extension of CBSE''s foray in promoting arts and culture and overseas extension of its activities.
We are expecting participation of 1,800 students, 200 teachers, academics and career counsellors."
The fair will see participation of 78 schools including 10 CBSE-affiliated schools in Dubai and international agencies dealing with education. It''s being specifically organised with class X and XII students in mind. "We will be providing information to class X students in the choice of subjects for higher studies, and different career options for students after 10 plus two. We will be providing information related to the admission procedures in Indian universities, and one-on-one career counselling sessions will be order of the day in this fair," added Sharma.
International names in diverse careers will be invited as speakers to share their views in their chosen field too. There will be information related to conventional careers and super specialisation in chosen subject. There will be a special session addressed by successful women who have made a name in different fields. Separate sessions by trained and qualified counsellors will be the order of the day during this three-day event. "The high-point of this fair is going to be the presentation of a theme paper by the chairman of CBSE Ashok Ganguly," remarked Sharma.
