BSSC 2nd Inter Level recruitment deadline extended again for over 24,000 vacancies: Check last date to apply and other details here
The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has once again extended the application timeline for the 2nd Inter Level Combined Competitive Examination 2025. According to the official notice, the reason to extend the deadline is addition of fresh vacancies and the interest of candidates. The recruitment drive aims to fill 24,492 posts. Previously, the Commission announced 23,175 vacancies for the 2nd-level recruitment. Following new requisitions received from various departments, 1317 vacancies have been included in the advertisement, taking the total count to 24,492 posts.
As per the new notice, the last date to submit the online examination fee has now been extended to January 29, 2026, while the final date for submitting the online application form has been extended to January 31, 2026.
Earlier, the fee payment deadline had been January 13, 2026, and the application deadline January 15, 2026. Candidates who missed the previous deadlines can now apply within the revised timeline.
Unreserved posts constitute 10,753 out of 24,492 total vacancies. Reserved category vacancies are 3, 407 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 231 for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 4,185 for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), 2,678 for Backward Classes (BC), 811 for Backward Class women, and 2,427 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
Besides, there are 7,816 posts set aside for women through the 35 percent horizontal reservation policy

Candidates applying for the BSSC 2nd Inter Level Recruitment must have passed the Intermediate (Class 12) examination. Some posts also require computer typing skills along with the Intermediate qualification.
The selection process includes a preliminary written examination, followed by a main examination and a skill test, wherever applicable.
The preliminary exam will be objective in nature and consist of 150 questions from General Studies, General Science, Mathematics, and Mental Ability. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 15 minutes, with one mark deducted for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks range from 40 percent for General category candidates to 32 percent for SC/ST candidates.
