Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has officially announced the examination date for the Senior Executive Trainee (SET) Recruitment Examination 2026. Candidates who have successfully completed the application process can now check and download the official exam schedule notice from the BSNL website.

According to the notification issued by the telecom public sector company, the BSNL Senior Executive Trainee Exam 2026 will be conducted on July 5, 2026 (Sunday). The recruitment examination will be held for candidates applying under the Telecom and Finance streams.

BSNL said the recruitment process is being conducted to fill a total of 120 vacancies for the post of Senior Executive Trainee.

Out of the total posts, 95 vacancies have been allocated for the Senior Executive Trainee Direct Recruitment Telecom Stream, while 25 vacancies are meant for the Senior Executive Trainee Direct Recruitment Finance Stream.

Exam pattern includes 200 questions with negative marking

As per the official details released by BSNL, the examination paper will contain 200 objective-type questions. Each question will carry one mark.

Candidates will be given a total duration of three hours to complete the examination. BSNL has also confirmed that the exam will include negative marking. A deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for every incorrect response.

Admit cards expected before the examination

BSNL is expected to release the admit cards around four to five days before the examination date. Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets by logging into the official portal using their registration credentials.

The admit card will contain important details including examination centre, reporting time, shift timing and candidate information. Applicants have been advised to regularly monitor the official website for updates related to admit cards and examination instructions.
