To be eligible to attend the main examination, the candidates have to obtain the recommended minimum marks in each part of the test and in the aggregate score. The bank has ensured that sufficient amount of candidates will be shortlisted in the next round on the basis of the requirement. There is a negative marking system, 0.25 marks are deducted on each wrong answer, and no penalty is given to the unanswered questions.

Pre-examination training (PET) of eligible categories

BOB will do the online Pre-Examination Training (PET) of the candidates who are a part of SC, ST, OBC, Minority communities, and Ex-Servicemen as well as Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. The PET will be conducted between 10th and 15th February 2026, and the access link will be available on the official site nearer to the date.
