Assam HS Class 12 Result not releasing today, Minister clarifies: Here’s the expected date
Many speculations were taking rounds on social media regarding the release of the Assam HS Board exam results 2026. Assam’s Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has made it clear that the Higher Secondary (HS) Result 2026 will not be declared on April 17, putting an end to widespread rumours circulating among students and on social media. In his public post, he clarified that any such statement regarding the declaration of the results today is baseless.
This is amid rumours surrounding the Class 12 results, which lakhs of students are eagerly waiting for. He also tagged the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, to ensure that nothing else but official information is considered.
Officials have indicated that the Assam HS results are likely to be declared in the last week of April, with April 30 emerging as the most probable date. This aligns with last year’s timeline, when results were announced on the same date.
The HS examinations this year were conducted from February 11 to March 16, and the evaluation process is currently underway.
Over 3 lakh students await scores. The scale of the examination remains significant. Last year, more than 3 lakh students appeared for the HS exams. Stream-wise performance showed steady outcomes: Science: 84.888% pass rate, Commerce: 82.182%, Arts: 81.032% and Vocational: 86.67%
The 2026 batch is expected to reflect similar trends, though official data will only be confirmed at the time of result declaration.
Students will be able to check their results on the official websites of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, along with other platforms such as DigiLocker.
In addition, the UPOLOBDHA mobile application will provide direct access to digital marksheets. The app is designed to reduce website congestion and allow students to download their provisional scorecards quickly.
