Hard copies will be given only to successful candidates. Students who failed or did not improve their result will not receive hard copies automatically. Such students can apply separately at the board office to get a hard copy of their marksheet.
Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for re-checking of answer scripts online.
The rechecking application portal will be activated two days after the declaration of the Higher Secondary Final Examination 2026 results on the official ASSEB Division-II website (formerly Assam Higher Secondary Education Council).
Candidates must submit their applications within 15 days from the date the portal opens.
Applications will be accepted only in online mode along with the prescribed fee. Offline or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Students can also apply for scanned copies of their answer scripts through the same portal.
The re-checking result will be published on the official website within 30 days from the last date of application.
The scanned copies of answer scripts will be sent to the candidate’s registered email ID. All details of examiners and officials will be hidden.
The board has clearly stated that its decision on marks will be final and binding.
Students must also ensure that scanned copies are not shared with institutions, media, or used for commercial purposes. If rules are violated, legal action may be taken.
These scanned copies cannot be challenged in any court or forum.
Students who are unhappy with their result can also appear for improvement exams.
Students who have failed in up to three subjects can appear for the compartment examination, which will be conducted later by the board.
All students who appeared for the Class 12 examination are allowed to take the improvement exam. However, candidates who failed in more than three subjects or did not appear in the main examination will not be eligible.
The Assam HS Class 12 examinations for 2026 were conducted from February 11 to March 6. Students were also given an extra 15 minutes at the beginning of the exam to read the question paper carefully.
