NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the recruitment drive, 'Rozgar Mela' which is aimed at providing employment to 10 lakh people.
During the ceremony, appointment letters were handed over to 75,000 newly inducted appointees to mark 75 years of independence. Remaining candidates will be appointed by the government over the next one and half years.
The recruitments are being done by ministries and departments either by themselves or through recruiting agencies such as UPSC, SSC and Railway Recruitment Board. Selection processes have been simplified and made tech-enabled for expeditious recruitment.

Government of India will release a detailed structure of the recruitment through 'Rozgar Mela' in the coming days. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website of PMO for more updates related to online registration and yojana details.
What is Rozgar Mela 2022 scheme?
Rozgar Mela is a recruitment drive that aims to fill around 10 lakh vacant posts across various ministries and departments of Government of India. The candidates selected through this recruitment process will join the government at various levels, namely Group A, Group B (Gazetted), Group B (Non-Gazetted) and Group C.
The posts on which the appointments are being made include, Central Armed Force Personnel, Sub Inspector, Constable, LDC, Steno, PA, Income Tax Inspectors, and MTS among others.

What is the total number of vacancy under Rozgar Scheme?

There is a total of around 10 lakh vacancies spread over different ministries and departments of government of India.
As many as 23584 vacant posts are there in Group A (gazetted) category, 26282 in Group B (gazetted), 92525 in Group B (non-gazetted), and 8.36 lakh in Group C (non-gazetted).
Talking about the ministry, Defence Ministry alone has 39,366 Group B (non-gazetted) and 2.14 lakh Group C posts vacant. Ministry of Railways has 2.91 lakh vacant Group C posts and Ministry of Home Affairs has 1.21 lakh Group C (non-gazetted) posts vacant.
How to register for Rozgar Mela?
As per the details laid out by the Prime Minister Office, around 38 ministries and departments of government of India will be actively recruiting these 10 lakh candidates with the help of agencies like UPSC, SSC, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) etc. over the next 1.5 years.
How to apply for Rozgar Mela 2022 scheme?
Candidates willing to get a job under Rozgaar Mela will have to apply online on different portals as per the job notification. The agencies involved in this process includes SSC, UPSC, RRB etc.
Once the job postings will be announced, candidates will have to first get themselves registered on the portal of the respective ministry or department. They will have to fill the application form and upload the required documents as per the process mentioned in the notification.
