As lakhs of candidates are getting prepared for the SBI PO exam, we bring here the revised syllabus of both Prelims and Mains Examination so that they can do their preparations accordingly.
The syllabus of the SBI PO exam is segregated into three categories:- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Examination
- Group Discussion & Interview
Both SBI PO Prelims and Mains Exam are conducted online. The prelims Exam is the screening test to select candidates for the Mains exam and it is compulsory to pass all rounds to become An SBI PO.
Exam Pattern for SBI PO Prelims: SBI PO Prelims is divided into three sections carrying a total of 100 marks.
- Quantitative Aptitude - 35 marks (20 mins)
- Reasoning Ability – 35 marks (20 mins)
- English Language – 30 marks (20 mins)

Exam Pattern for SBI PO Mains:SBI PO Mains is divided into four sections carrying a total of 200 marks.
- Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude – 60 marks (60 mins)
- Data Analysis and Interpretation – 60 marks (45 mins)
- General/Financial Awareness – 40 marks (35 mins)
- English Language – 40 marks (40 mins)
Along with it, there is also a Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration. It consists of two questions – one letter writing and one essay of 25 marks each, making a total of 50 marks.

Group Discussion and Interview is the final stage of the selection process and to reach this stage, one must qualify for both prelims as well as the Mains exam.
Only those candidates who have successfully cleared all the stages will get a Letter of Appointment from SBI.
