This surge is attributed to the increasing demand for visually appealing content, coupled with the rising adoption of animation in various sectors such as gaming, advertising, and education.

One of the driving factors behind the animation boom is the expanding reach of streaming platforms. "With major players like Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu investing heavily in animated content, viewers now have access to a diverse array of animated series and films. This has not only fueled the industry's growth but has also given independent animators and studios a platform to showcase their creativity," said industry expert Harmeet Kaur Saini.

Moreover, the global animation workforce has seen substantial growth, with a surge in demand for skilled animators and digital artists. Harmeet also predicted that the animation job market will continue to expand, offering lucrative opportunities for creative professionals in the coming years.

“From concept artists and modellers to riggers, compositors and technical directors, animation offers a spectrum of creative careers. As media gets richer and immersive technologies advance, skilled animators and designers are highly sought after. With the industry poised for explosive growth, it promises a wealth of opportunities for Indian talent,” said Harmeet.
