NEW DELHI: National Medical Commission (NMC), Undergraduate Medical Education Board, issued guidelines for the 2022-23 batch of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, which is commencing on November 15, 2022.
As per the guidelines, the supplementary exams will be conducted with a gap of one month from the regular exams and results to be declared within 15 days. Vacations and exam schedules will be scheduled by the affiliated universities of the respective colleges.
It may be noted that there will be no supplementary batches. The detailed schedule and guidelines can be accessed on the official website -- nmc.org.in.

The total duration for the MBBS course is 66 months. During the first 13 months - starting from November 15, 2022, to December 15, 2023 - students will be taught Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry. For the next 13 months, i.e., from December 16, 2023, to January 15, 2025, the students would require to study Pathology, Microbiology and Pharmacology. For the third year, which will be of 10.5 months there will be lectures on Medicine & Toxicology and Community Medicine/PSM. In terms of months, the fourth year will be the longest, as it would be of 17.5 months. During this period starting from December 2025 to May 2027, the candidates will learn - General Surgery, General Medicine, Pediatrics, and Ob. Gy, ENT, Ophthalmology. Finally, as per the CRMI 2021 Regulations, the candidates will have to complete a one-year internship commencing from June 1, 2027, to May 31, 2028.
