Suma Kanakala is undoubtedly the most popular and influential anchor on TV today. Her spontaneity is her biggest strength and the fact that she learnt Telugu so well, despite being a Malayalee, has made her a role model for almost everyone in the TV industry. Currently, she’s hosting shows like Cash, Star Mahila, Soundarya Lahari to name a few. Apart from TV programmes, she regularly hosts filmy events including audio launches and other such events much to the delight of the audience.

After making a splash on the small screen with Jabardasth, Anasuya’s rise to fame as an anchor has been astonishing to say the least. Soon after her debut on TV, the anchor took a break for a few months due to her pregnancy; however, it didn’t hinder her from making a swashbuckling comeback. Currently, she’s part of shows like Tadakha, Kiraak, Ali Talkies and Maa Mahalakshmi. Her popularity on small screen has further landed her plenty of movie offers and, by her own admission, she’ll be making her debut in feature films next year.

Unlike several other popular anchors, Rashmi began her career as an actress on a TV serial Yuva, which was aired back in 2007. Soon after that, she went on act in select few movies like Prasthanam and Current before making her comeback on TV as an anchor for Jabardasth. She has also hosted shows like Ragada and Super Kutumbam; however Jabardasth remains her most popular show.

The latest sensation on Telugu TV is Lasya, who began her career few years ago with a music show, Something Special. She often collaborates with another popular TV anchor, Ravi and in the past few months, they have hosted several shows like Family Circus, One and currently, they are co-hosting a new game show, Mondi Mogudu Penki Pellam. Earlier this year, she was invited to host veteran filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao’s talk show Soundarya Lahari; however, the latest buzz suggests that she’s no longer part of the show.

Syamala shot to fame with a cookery show, Maa Oori Vanta and it made her a household name almost immediately. After beginning her career as a TV actress, she switched over to anchoring and hosting shows and other events. Earlier this year, she made her debut in feature films and she was last seen as Naga Chaitanya’s sister in Oka Laila Kosam.
