Parul and Roshni Vadehra hosted a do for art lovers and showcased works of Bacon, Freud, Souza and Tyeb Mehta. The works of the four artists were visual delights for sure, as guests kept going back to them for a dekko.
ALL SET TO PARTY?
Artist Ram Rahman was engrossed in Bacon's works. He said, "So many prints by Bacon and all of them in one room - it is definitely party time."
OF AN ART AFICIONADO:
Cornor Macklin looked pensive while he keenly observed one of Souza's works. He said, "The pain and anguish in this particular frame is simply amazing."
ALSO PRESENT WERE:
Shamshad Husain, Anjolie Ela Menon, Kanik Kapoor and Amit Vadehra. Manu Parekh looked happy and shared the reason with us, "When the works of international artists are shown here, it indi cates that Indian artists are be ing appreciated abroad too. I'm happy that this is a mutual process and I hope the trend continues." Paramjit Singh, Arpita Singh, Ramkumar Sharma, Harshvardhan, Anjum Singh and Shalini Gupta were also spotted enjoying the art works over conversations.
EVERYBODY HAS FAVOURITES
We asked artist Ram Rahman if artists actually have a favourite colour, pat came the reply , "Oh, yes! All artists swear by particular colours, I like two - red and orange."
