Nida Siddiqui, a first year student of Lady Irwin College, is planning to go to an amusement park with her friends. She says, “All of us have been wanting to go there for some time. So we thought that Friendship Day would be appropriate – just the day that calls for a celebration. We’ll formalise our little party by cutting a yummy cake.”
While there are some who’ve planned surprises for their pals, there are others who’re waiting for surprises to happen to them.

And I will reciprocate by putting up a play for them. Also, since my mother’s my best friend, I intend making the day special for her by treating her to a great breakfast.”
Some youngsters wait for Friendship Day, as it is a perfect excuse to party. Some wait for the day to remember long lost friends and catch up with them.
Says Nakul Sood of Hindu College, “I will contact my old friends and buddies I’ve lost touch with. It being a Sunday, we’ll go out in a group and party or catch the latest movie. This is my last year in college and I want to really enjoy the day with my friends.”
Sneha Banerjee, a hosteller in Lady Irwin College, wants to party in style. The hostel will have a special party and dinner today and she plans to have a blast there. “All my pals will be there to party with me. We’ll rock together!” she said.
Go ahead, chill out and have the time of your life, guys! Make the most of it because these carefree days of college will never come again.
