NEW DELHI: A trial court will on Tuesday hear a complaint seeking action against AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly exhorting voters to take bribes from BJP and Congress and vote for his party.
The matter was scheduled for hearing on Monday but was posted for Tuesday as metropolitan magistrate Richa Gusain Solanki was on leave.
The complaint, filed by advocate Arun Kumar, accused Kejriwal of deliberately abetting bribery and sought prosecution against the former Delhi CM for alleged offences of abetment and offering or accepting bribe under the IPC. The Election Commission has already ordered Kejriwal to “desist” from making comments on bribing of voters.
