7 CPI Maoists, including two state committee members, died in a major encounter in Telangana's Mulugu district.
The encounter occurred shortly after Maoists hacked two tribals to death, branding them as police informers. An anti-Naxal commando unit in the Eturunagaram area stumbled upon the movement of Maoists, leading to an exchange of fire. From the scene of the offence, two AK-47 rifles were recovered. Andhra Pradesh government has issued an order withdrawing its earlier directions on the constitution of a state Waqf Board.

Election Commission has filed a complaint, leading to an FIR against Syed Shuja, who claimed he could hack EVMs by isolating their frequency.
Mumbai Cyber Police registered the case on November 30 under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and IT Act, officials said. The Maharashtra chief electoral officer (CEO) lodged the complaint, terming Shuja’s claims as "false, baseless and unsubstantiated." The FIR was filed at the Cyber Police Station in Dakshin Mumbai.
