NVIDIA Ansel screen-capturing tech launched, VR Funhouse reaches Steam
NEW DELHI: NVIDIA has launched its Ansel, which the company calims offers ‘a new way to capture in-game shots’ and has also made its NVIDIA VR Funhouse available on Steam.
As per the company, Ansel screen capturing lets users compose their in-game shots from any position, adjust post-process filters, capture HDR images in Hi-Fi formats and share the screenshots in 360 degree surround from a smartphone, PC or even a virtual reality headset.
The features, says NVIDIA, is currently supported in Mirror's Edge Catalyst video game and will also be arriving on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Epic Games' Fortnite, Paragon and Unreal Tournament, Cyan Worlds' Obduction, Thekla's The Witness, Boss Key Productions' Lawbreakers, Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's The Division, and No Man's Sky.
To try NVIDIA Ansel, users would need a GTX 1060 GTX 1070 or GTX 1080 GPU and a copy of Mirrors Edge Catalyst [MEC].
NVIDIA also announced that its VR Funhouse is now avialable for Steam gaming platform. The company said that the NVIDIA VR Funhouse "highlights how state of the art graphics and accurate physics modelling can be blended seamlessly into VR midway challenges, arcade fun and table games - special effects come courtesy of NVIDIA PhysX, NVIDIA Hairworks, NVIDIA Flow, NVIDIA FleX and NVIDIA Destruction.”
The NVIDIA VR Funhouse will be available in July on Steam free of cost.
Earlier this month, the company announced its latest mainstream graphics card in the form of the GeForce GTX 1060. The GPU offers a big performance jump over its predecessor and is certified-VR Ready, making it more affordable than ever to jump into the enticing world of virtual reality.
