YSRC’s city unit contributes Rs 13 lakh for flood-hit Kerala
Visakhapatnam: YSR Congress’ Vizag city unit has contributed Rs 13 lakh towards flood relief activities in Kerala. Informing this to reporters on Wednesday, YSRC city president Malla Vijay Prasad said heavy rains and subsequent flooding have created a catastrophic situation in Kerala.
“The floods have cost the lives of hundreds of people and lakhs of people have been marooned and are living in relief camps.

Fortunately, many celebrities, cricketers and political parties and others have come forward to extend a helping hand to the flood victims in Kerala. In the same direction, we decided to contribute our part for the flood victims. We have collected Rs 13 lakh from our local leaders,” said Vijay Prasad. The party has handed over the collected sum to the Kerala Kala Samithi in the city to make it reach the flood victims.
While the party’s city president Vijay Prasad contributed Rs 2.25 lakh, Vizag North assembly constituency coordinator K K Raju donated Rs 2 lakh. The other donors include the party’s Gajuwaka coordinator Tippala Nagireddy (Rs 1 lakh), Vizag East coordinator Vamsikrishna Srinivas (Rs 1 lakh), Chokkakula Venkata Rao (Rs 1 lakh), Bokam Srinivasa Rao (Rs 1 lakh), ex-MLA Tynala Vijay Kumar (Rs 50,000), Kola Guruvulu (Rs 50,000), Akkaramani Vijaya Nirmala (Rs 50,000), Sanapala Chandramouli (Rs 50,000) and Peela Venkata Lakshmi (Rs 50,000).
