Visakhapatnam: Andhra University (AU) vice chancellor, Prof G Nageswara Rao laid the foundation stone for the construction of additional buildings in the women’s engineering college of the university on Friday.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof Rao said that around Rs 2 crore will be spent on the construction of laboratories, meeting halls and other amenities.
Talking about the ongoing AUCET counselling process, Prof Rao said, “Certificate verification under NCC quota took place on Friday. NCC programme officer Dr S Haranath and district programme officer EPS Bhagya Lakshmi verified the certificates at the counselling centre. Certificate verification for other categories will commence on June 2 ,” said Prof Nageswara Rao.
The first phase of allotment of seats would be done on June 11. The students, who get the seats in the first phase, have to submit their fees by June 13. The allotment of second phase seats will be done on June 24.
