Abhishek slams 150, Deepan takes five
Abhishek M Reddy (150, 124b, 4x20, 6x2) and left-arm spinner K Deepan Sainath (five wickets) helped Chittoor beat Nellore by 212 runs while K Karan Shinde scored back to back centuries (110, 100b, 4x15, 6x3) but Kurnool lost to Anantapur by 35 runs in the ACA South Zone one-dayers tournament in Kadapa.

South zone in driving seat
South Zone are in the driving seat against Central Zone at stumps on the second day of the ACA under-19 inter-zone multi-day matches tournament at the PVG Raju sports complex, Vizianagaram.

Vizag boy wins silver
Aditya Varun Gampa of Visakhapatnam won a silver in the juniors section of the 28th Abu Dhabi international chess festival. He logged eight points from nine rounds in the competition in which 228 players participated. He also finished fourth in the under-16 blitz event of the tournament scoring 8.5 points from 11 rounds. The All Visakha Chess Association and the AP Chess Association congratulated Varun on his good show at Abu Dhabi.
