Bhupatiraju, has scaled Mount Denali, the highest mountain in
North America
. Varma is not only a mountaineer but also a kickboxing champion. Varma had scaled Mount Everest in the first week of June, 2021 despite adverse weather conditions.
An MBA graduate, Varma began his expedition in the third week of May when he reached Anchorage Alaska in
America
. His team left for a 19-day-long expedition to summit Mount Denali.
Varma reached the summit of Mount Denali, at an altitude of 6,190 meters, on Sunday evening at around 5.30 pm. His achievement was confirmed by his coach Shekhar Babu Bachinepally. All members of the team are safe and doing fine. The team will come down to anchorage in two days and reach India by June 17.
Varma has set his sights on scaling seven summits in the world and has already scaled Mount Everest (8,848 meters) in 2021. He scaled Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters), the highest mountain in
Africa
, in 2020. He conquered Mount Aconcagua (6,961 meters) in
South America
over a period of five days in February 2020. He has now scaled the highest peak in North America.
