Vizag Warriors defeat Titans for first APL win

VISAKHAPATNAM: Vizag Warriors recorded their first win in two matches, beating Marlin Godavari Titans by 44 runs in the ACA’s Shriram Andhra Premier League. Warriors made 185 for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs with UMS Girinath scoring 44 and Ashwin Hebbar making 43. Warriors restricted Titans to 141/9 in 20 overs. M Anjaneyulu took three wickets for six runs.

Fencing trials
Visakhapatnam district-level fencing league will be held for fencers in the 14 to 35 years age group at the Champions Academy, Vepagunta main road here and registration for the same ends on July 10. Krishna selections on July 11
The Krishna District Sports Authority will conduct the district league fencing selections at the DJR Engineering College, Gudavalli from 3 p.m. on July 11. Interested can call 94907 98909. Selected fencers would participate in the state league to be conducted by SAAP in Kurnool on July 15 and 16.
