Visakhapatnam: 132 arrested during drive against ganja
The Disha police station ACP Prem Kajol and CCS ACP Sravan Kumar said that 55 peddlers were arrested over the last few months while 132 users were identified. Around seven kgs of weed oil was seized on Friday and three persons were arrested in this context.

Of the arrested 132 persons, 33 were identified as students.
The police strategy is to take harsh legal measures on peddlers and transporters while providing counselling and de-addiction measures to new users.
Cops say that many of the users are from esteemed organisations such as the IITs.
One fourth of people identified as users have completed graduation and technical courses such as the B Tech and MBA.

Cops arrested 187 persons, including 55 drug peddlers and registered 20 cases, in 70 cases in which they seized 418 kgs ganja , 9 kgs weed oil, Rs 29,520 in cash,27 mobiles and nine vehicles.
