Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam dominated the state junior inter-district athletic championships held in Eluru from October 21 to 23 as they won the overall championship with 235 points. Ch Kiran Sai (U-14) and M Naga Sai Varshini (-16) emergeds as the individual champions. Boys totalled 93 points, with the youth boys (U-18) topping their group with 44 points while the girls bagged 142 points with the U-16, U-18 and junior women (U-20) topping their groups.
Individual champions: Boys U-16: P Mohan Sai (Kri) and K. Shyam Sundar Sahil Babu (WG) (913 pts each). U-18: D Vikas (Pkm). U-20: J Bhanu Srinivas (Gnt). Girls U-14: L Dimple Maha Sri (WG). U-18: B Naga Viharika (Gnt). U-20: C Pratyusha (Atp).
Mani Kumar wins TT title
PV Mani Kumar won the boys U-17 title and G Siri Pavani and M Shri Shanvi had mixed luck in the GITAM state table tennis tournament at the GITAM deemed to be university.
