Andhra Pradesh: Two held for murder bid over petty issue

Two persons were arrested on Wednesday for attempting to murder a man over a petty issue in Polipalli village of Bhogapuram mandal. The victim, B Nagaraju, sustained head injuries in the attack and was admitted to a hospital, where he is said to be critical.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Two persons were arrested on Wednesday for attempting to murder a man over a petty issue in Polipalli village of Bhogapuram mandal. The victim, B Nagaraju, sustained head injuries in the attack and was admitted to a hospital, where he is said to be critical.
Police said Nagaraju was attacked by five persons over a hand loan dispute. Cops said that only two of the accused have been arrested as two others are absconding and the fifth accused was admitted to a hospital as he was injured in the attack.

However, locals alleged that the dispute erupted due to a betting issue.
A video of the incident went viral and cops arrested Ramesh and Narayana Rao. “The other accused, Durga Raju and Sankara Rao, are at large, and Narsi Naidu is undergoing treatment at a hospital,” said Bhogapuram SI S Krishna Murthy.
