Two arrested for duping people

Visakhapatnam: Nandyal district police arrested two persons for cheating people by offering extra money (commission) for exchange of 2,000 denomination currency notes. The duo duped the people to the tune of 2.2 crore and the police have recovered 70 lakh from the accused. The arrested were identified as Tankala Sobhan Babu (36) and Kancharana Chinna Babu (33), both natives of Srikakulam district. Police said the duo claimed they had a huge cash reserve of 2,000 denomination notes, and promised to pay an additional 15 per cent commission in 2,000 denomination for anyone coming with 500 currency note.
