TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will conduct the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara at the Jubilee hills temple at Hyderabad from March 8.
TTD established the Jubilee hills temple on March 13, 2019 and pilgrim worship at this temple has been going on since then. This is the second TTD temple to have been established at Hyderabad, after the first TTD temple and information centre was established about two and half decades ago.
The Tirupati trust established this Lord Venkateswara temple in about 3.7 acres of land by spending Rs.28 crore for constructing the main temple, the maha Rajagopuram and the Ganapathi temple.
The 8.6 feet tall deity at this temple was made with black granite stone, which was sourced from the Namakkal quarry in Tamil Nadu, and resembles the Lord Venkateswara idol at the Tirumala temple. Several Arjitha sevas performed at the Tirumala temple have been replicated at the Jubilee hills temple as well.
Meanwhile, TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy unveiled the Jubilee hills temple annual Brahmotsavams posters in Tirupati on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters later, Bhumana said the 9 day festival will begin on March 8 and draw to an end on March 16. Pushpayagam will be performed to the deities on March 17.
Jubilee hills temple deputy executive officer Ramesh Babu was present.
