Visakhapatnam: South zone beat North zone by five wickets to top the table in the ACA men’s T20 inter-zone tournament at the ACA complex, Mulapadu on Thursday. On Wednesday, they defeated Central Zone by 10 runs.
Brief scores: North zone 132/7 in 20 overs (P Avinash 31, SH Srinivas 26; M Anjaneyulu 3/26) lost to South zone 135/5 in 19.1 overs (Abhishek M. Reddy 56, K Ashwin Hebbar 32). South zone 128/9 in 20 overs (P Girinath Reddy 51, K. Karan Shinde 50) bt Central zone 118 in 19.5 overs (K Maheep Kumar 26; P Girinath Reddy 3/19, Sk Ismail 3/19).
Anantapur selectionsThe Anantapur District Cricket Association trials to select girls’ U-16 team will be held at the Anantapur Sports Academy, RDT centre, Anantapur on Sept. 4. Interested should attend in proper cricket gear and own kit and pay a fee of Rs. 100.
