Siddhardh, Jagriti triumph

Visakhapatnam: Ramana Siddhardh B and Kumar Prasad Jagriti won the Open and girls titles in the district U-15 chess selection tournament at the BVK Junior College, Visalakshinagar here on Sunday. Siddhardh won all his six games while Jagriti claimed full points in four games. The top four in the Open and girls categories would represent the district in the State championships.

Railways summer camp
The East Coast Railway Sports Association, Waltair will organise a summer camp for boys and girls in the 5-15 years age group from April 3 to May 30. Coaching will be provided for boys in athletics, boxing, basketball, cricket, ball badminton, football, badminton, skating, swimming, table tennis, tennis and volleyball at the Waltair Railway Sports Arena, football and athletics stadiums here. Coaching is open for all and free of charge. Coaching for girls will be given in athletics, boxing, basketball, badminton, skating, swimming, table tennis and tennis. Naidu to helm BAAP
T Chengalraya Naidu was on Sunday elected as the president of Basketball Association in Andhra Pradesh (BAAP) unanimously for the third consecutive term. Justice T Rajani, Rtd. high court judge was the returning officer. SAAP observer A Balaji, BFI technical committee chairman Norman Isaac and Chittoor District Olympic Association secretary Chandrasekhar supervised the election in Chittoor.
