Visakhapatnam: Karan Shinde hit a breezy 75 and shared a 92-run partnership for the sixth wicket with Ricky Bhui (37) as Andhra scored a two-wicket win over Bihar with two balls to spare in a group D league match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament at the Holkar stadium in Indore on Tuesday. Andhra won two matches and two of their other matches were washed out and with 12 points they are currently placed second in the group behind Saurashtra (14).
Brief scores: Bihar 181/2 in 20 overs (Babul Kumar 72, Bipin Saurabh 52, S Gani 33 no) lost to Andhra 186/8 in 19.4 overs (Karan Shinde 75, Ricky Bhui 37, Ashwin Hebbar 25; Abhijeet 3/31).
Andhra women win Andhra defeated Mizoram by seven wickets to record their fourth win in five matches in the group A of the BCCI senior women T20 tournament at the Alur cricket ground, Bengaluru on Tuesday. With this win, Andhra moved to top of the table with 16 points in the eight-team group.

DRM Cup volleyball beginsHamsa Honda beat Oxygen Towers 2-0 in the inaugural match of the DRM cup volleyball tournament of the East Coast Railway Sports Association at the Railway stadium on Monday evening. DRM Anup Kumar Satpathy inaugurated the tournament. President of the AP Volleyball Association and MLA PGVR Naidu and others were present.
