‘Seva ward’ opened at KGH for destitute

Visakhapatnam: King George Hospital, Visakhapantam, launched a ‘seva ward’ on the occasion of the 116th birth anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram on Wednesday. The seva ward is meant exclusively for admission of unknown/ destitute cases. According to KGH superintendent Dr P Ashok Kumar, the ward has been launched to provide all the care and services at one point. The superintendent inaugurated the ward in the presence of ARMO Dr K Jagadeesh Kumar and others. Meanwhile, several political parties, government organisations, and educational institutions remembered the services of Jagjivan Ram. In a programme conducted by Visakhapatnam district administration, Vizag Mayor G Hari Venkata Kumari, Visakhapatnam district collector A Mallikarjuna, joint collector KS Viswanathan and others paid floral tributes to the statue of Jagjivan Ram.
