Visakhapatnam: Anantha Rising Stars and Sarvana Sluggers recorded wins in the Anantapur Cricket League on Wednesday.
Brief scores: Kogatam Warriors 143 in 19.5 overs (KSS Ankit 32) bt Sarvana Sluggers 122 in 18.2 overs (M Raju Kullayappa 29). Spartans 148/7 in 20 overs (G Sampath Kumar 42) lost to Anantha Rising Stars 151/1 in 14.1 overs (P Arjun Tendulkar 66 no).
Free chess camp
As part of All India Chess Federation’s initiative, the All Vizag Chess Association launched the free chess training programme for children, at the Government Home for Girls here on Tuesday.Ken Foundation is supporting the programme. Superintendent of the Home for Girls K Sunitha inaugurated the programme in which 30 girls would be initiated into the game of chess. Senior coaches V Srikanth, M Ramakrishna and AVCA secretary S. Manikanta Rao would monitor the programme. Ken foundation president P. Santosh, president of ACA KVV Sarma and others were present.
