Mallikarjuna has asked the officials to be alert on
monsoon diseases. The collector chaired a review meeting on vector-borne disease preparedness here at the collectorate on Tuesday alongside the GVMC commissioner C M Saikanth Varma.Speaking on this occasion,
Mallikarjuna said that cleanliness and best sanction practices should be accorded top priority.
He suggested the residents to avoid water stagnation in or around the households and get rid of coconut shells, old tyres, etc, to avoid harbouring mosquitoes. He also gave a call for observing every Friday as a dry day.TNN
