Railway camp ends

Visakhapatnam: More than 600 children participated in the month-long summer coaching camp 2023 organised by the East Coast Railway Sports Association. The children were trained in athletics, basketball, boxing, chess, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, kabaddi, weightlifting, swimming, skating, fitness training, yoga and martial arts. DRM and president of ECoRSA Anup Satpathy gave away the prizes to winners.
Chess tourney
The Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation and the All Visakha Chess Association are jointly organising the GVMC summer chess cup tournament for the under-15 boys and girls as part of the ongoing summer camp at the GVMC Swarnabharathi indoor stadium here on Saturday.The top three players in the under-7, 9, 11, 13 and 15 will receive medals and the top 50 players of the tournament will receive free professional coaching. The District Sports Authority’s summer coaching camp in athletics and volleyball at the ZP High School, Eedupugallu concluded on Wednesday. School director Vasanth Kumar gave away the prizes. DSA coach G Varalakshmi, PD M Durga Bhavani and PET Raju trained the children.
