Programmes welcoming CM start on October 2

Visakhapatnam: The chief minister’s office is likely to be shifted to Visakhapatnam around Dasara. The ‘non-political joint action committee for decentralised administration’ has planned a series of programmes in the name of ‘Visakha Vandanam’ to accord a grand welcome to CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. These programmes are likely to start from October 2, marking Gandhi Jayanthi. The programmes include rallies, cultural activities, religious prayers, etc.Non-political JAC chairman Prof H Lajipathi Rai told TOI that a mega signature campaign will be launched on October 2 at the ‘I Love Vizag’ mural located at the TU-142 museum to appreciate the chief minister’s decision of trifurcating the capitals and making Vizag as the executive capital.“Special prayers and programmes will be conducted at all the popular temples of the region, including Simhachalam, Annavaram, Kanaka Mahalakshmi temple in Visakhapatnam, Goddess Pydithalli temple in Vizianagaram, on different days. Multi-faith prayer ceremonies will also be conducted to remove all the obstacles in the way of Vizag executive capital and to turn it into a world-class city,” said Prof Rai.The former vice-chancellor added that a massive rally has been planned for October 15 on the lines of Visakha Garjana conducted in October 2022.

IIM Vizag joins hands with NIT-Warangal, IIITDM Kurnool for MBA programme

The Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam has partnered with the National Institute of Technology-Warangal and the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool to launch a specialized MBA program for BTech/MTech students. The program aims to integrate engineering competencies with management skills, providing students with a holistic learning experience. Students who complete two modules of the program will receive a management diploma, while those who complete all four modules will be granted an MBA degree. The program also eliminates the need for the Common Admission Test (CAT) and offers various benefits such as access to a professional network.

CM Jagan to shift admin to Visakhapatnam on Dasara

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that the state administration will shift to Visakhapatnam on October 24. Jagan will split his time between working in Visakhapatnam and touring the state, while returning to his Tadepalli camp office in Amaravati for the weekends. However, this relocation is not the formal shifting of the state capital, as the Supreme Court is currently hearing a case on the issue. The final outcome of the judgement will determine the formal shifting of the capital.

Madurai Kamaraj University to conduct CET for PhD, M Phil admissions on October 8

Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) will conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) for PhD/M Phil admissions on October 8. The exam will be held for two hours from 11 am to 1 pm at the Madurai Kamaraj University Day College. Hall tickets can be downloaded from the MKU website starting from September 29. The exam will be based on the PG level syllabus and will consist of multiple choice objective questions. Clearing the entrance exam only makes a candidate eligible for admission, but does not guarantee admission.
