Visakhapatnam: The city police will focus on implementing people-friendly policing in its limits, said new city police commissioner T Yoganand.
Addressing the media after taking charge as the police chief from in-charge commissioner and marine wing inspector general G Suryaprakasa Rao here on Monday, Yoganand said he would focus on tackling the increasing cyber crime offences and traffic management as well as improving prevention and detection of crimes.

He also told the people with genuine concerns to contact him personally at any time.
The 1998 batch IPS officer said a few issues like land grabbing and chain snatching have been brought to his notice and added that he would continue to implement the successful methods formulated by his predecessors. Yoganand earlier served as intelligence wing DIG and in the ACB.
