Partition is tragic chapter of independence struggle: Sub-collector Prakhar Jain
TENALI: Sub collector and IAS officer, Prakar Jain has stated that amidst the glorious and inspiring sacrifices during the prolonged freedom struggle, the partition of the Indian subcontinent remains a tragic episode. He implored the public to pay homage to the multitude of individuals who were compelled to migrate to unfamiliar territories, forsaking their possessions in the aftermath of the division. The Sub-collector inaugurated a photo exhibition featuring rare images to commemorate Partition Horrors Remembrance Day in Tenali. The two-day photo exhibition has been conceptualized and orchestrated by the Guntur Field Office of the Central Bureau of Communication at Tenali Railway Station. Speaking on the occasion, Prakar Jain commended the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Guntur Field Office for organizing an informative and poignant photo exhibition in Tenali. He also urged the public to seize the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the partition and its narratives through the photo exhibition.
Field Publicity Officer of CBC Guntur, R Ramesh Chandra emphasized the significance for younger generations to derive lessons from the partition of the Indian subcontinent along religious lines. He asserted that religious harmony, respect for diverse cultures, and peaceful coexistence are pivotal to India's progress. To realize the vision of a developed India by 2047, as passionately advocated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is imperative to adhere to the ethos and philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
Tenali Railway Station Manager T Venkata Ramana highlighted that India has provided equal opportunities to all religions and castes even after attaining Independence. The gathering paid tribute to the lives lost during the partition process in 1947. Hundreds of rail passengers visited the exhibition and meticulously observed the historic and rare photographs from the partition era. BJP Leaders Patibandla Rama Krishna, B Kanaka Durga, M Harikrishna, T. Siva Sankar, and others visited the photo exhibition on the first day. Vijayawada Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) Varun Babu, along with other senior Railway officials K Srinivasa Rao, N Venkat Rao, Shouri Babu, T Venkara Ramana, and N Venkateswarlu, were also present.
