VISAKHAPATNAM: The door-to-door voter survey was completed to 97% in
Andhra Pradesh's newly formed
Alluri Sitarama Raju district and its number of voters was increased to 7.28 lakh.
The
Visakha agency area in the undivided Visakhapatnam district had six lakh population and two assembly constituencies.
After restructuring the districts, the newly formed
Alluri district has three assembly constituencies and the population increased to around nine lakhs with the merger of Rampachodavaram constituency in the undivided East
Godavari district tribal area.
According to revenue department sources, the district has 7,28,513 voters. Of these, the Araku Assembly Constituency has 2,29,580 voters, Paderu has 2,30,090 voters, and the merged area Rampachodavaram constituency has 2,68,843 voters.
The district has 10,151 houses with no house numbers while 3949 voters died, and 4850 voters registered at two places. The district DRO Ambedkar said that fake votes 48, permanent migrants 707 and 576 voters are in not available door numbers. He said they completed 97% of door-to-door voter surveys.
