Nobel laureate meets CM, lauds Amma Vodi

: Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi met chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday. He was accompanied by MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu. Satyarthi received the Nobel Peace Prize along with Malala Yousafzai in 2014 ‘for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education’. Following the meeting with the chief minister, Satyarthi said that he was impressed by the state government’s welfare programmes.Amma Vodi

Vice-chairman of Vignan University and MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayulu too addressed the students. He said that the varsity has signed an MoU with Kailash Satyarthi’s Children’s Foundation to set up a Kailash Satyarthi Centre for Child Rights at the varsity.
