Visakhapatnam: Senior advocate Nadendla Venkata Suman was elected president of the Visakha District Courts Bar Association. He won with a majority of 24 votes against Bandaru Ramakrishna. Polls were held on Monday and the results were declared on Tuesday by election officer K Madhusudana Rao.
Out of 2,341 members in the Bar Association 1,852 members participated in the elections.
SAnapala Narasimha Swamay defeated K Ramagovinda Rao for the post of secretary. P Vijayalakshmi was elected vice-president, while Gara Suseela is joint secretary and N Venugopala Rao is treasurer. Peela Meenakshi was elected library secretary, Bandi Prabhakar sports and cultural wing secretary and D Aruna Kumari as woman representative. tnndari Appa Rao, KN Kumari, Kadri Ramulu, Y Appa Rao, Pilla Srilakhmi, Dharama Durga Prasad, Aravind Deshmukh, P Nageswara Rao and S Sushma were elected as executive members.
