The Hawk Mk 132 advanced jet trainer aircraft will be inducted into the Indian Navy on Wednesday at an induction ceremony to be presided over by the chief of naval staff, Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi, at the Naval Air Station INS Dega.

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Hawk Mk 132 advanced jet trainer (AJT) aircraft will be inducted into the Indian Navy on Wednesday at an induction ceremony to be presided over by the chief of naval staff, Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi, at the Naval Air Station INS Dega.
Admiral Joshi arrived in the city on Monday on a visit to the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) accompanied by his wife Chitra Joshi, president, Navy Wives Welfare Association.

Besides the induction programme, the Admiral will also be visiting other ENC establishment and will review the Eastern Fleet at sea. Admiral Joshi will also undertake a sortie on board the P-8I LRMR (long range maritime reconnaissance) aircraft and visit Naval Air Station INS Rajali at Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu.
The chief is scheduled to depart from the city on Thursday.
