VISAKHAPATNAM: In a proactive measure to enhance safety and security, Vishakhapatnam Railway Station introduced narcotics-trained sniffer dogs, resulting in a significant seizure on the first day. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and City Taskforce Police collaborated to detect and apprehend three individuals involved in illegal activities.

On the arrival of train No. 08552 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Express, RPF sniffer dog Vicky, guided by Head Constable Safiq Mohammad and KS Patra, detected two backpacks containing six kgs of ganja each on platform number 6 at 8.55 pm. The coordinated efforts led to the apprehension of the individuals involved, emphasizing the effectiveness of the new security initiative.
